Morning Programs


Moms n' Tots I 2 days T-Th 10:00 - 10:30am

Twice a week for 30 minutes each time, we welcome families and their young children. We sing, we dance, we tell stories, we play, we hug and smile. We learn to listen, share and follow directions. These groups are lead by native speakers and are the child's introduction to the immersion experience.
Please call the center in September for the new schedule.


The program consists of 36 weeks of instruction.
Tuition for the year: $852
Registration/Lab fee: $125.00
Remaining balance: $852 payable in full by August 30th.
Trimester payments are available. The finance charge for this payment plan is of 6.5%. The amount of $302 will be due at the beginning of the months of September, January and April.

 

Les Petits Chats 5 days M-T-W-Th-F From 9:00 to 11:00am

All of Les Poussins from last year are continuing into Les Petits Chats, therefore we have very few openings in this class. The children will be turning three and are now used to hearing the French language. Separation from the adults in no longer an issue and the children are really enjoying “doing”, that is singing, dancing, painting, and more in a total immersion setting. Totally unconscious of the fact they are learning another language, they quickly assimilate and imitate teachers and older students and quickly start to function in French.

The program consists of 36 weeks of instruction.

Tuition for the year: $7,200
Registration/Lab fee: $125.00 + deposit $720
Remaining balance: $6,480 payable in full by August 30th.
Monthly payments are available. The finance charge for this payment plan is of 6.5%. The amount of $770 will be due the first of each month.

**Monthly fees are now based on 9 payments, Sept thru May.

Registration/Lab Fee is per family for the entire year. Families with more than 1 child at French For Fun, please enclose $150.00.
Your registration as well as your deposit are non refundable. However if you need to change your child’s schedule, these sums will be applied towards another program. All these changes should be made at least 30 days before the beginning of the school year in September.

 

Les Coccinelles 5 days M-T-W-Th-F From 9:00 to 12:00noon

These boys and girls will be turning four this coming school year. All of them have been exposed to French and most of them have been in our program. Children will learn to recognize numbers from 1 to 12 (at least). They will be doing graphisme or pre-writing exercises to prepare them for writing. They will be starting to make complete sentences in French and building a solid vocabulary. The school year will be structured along the four seasons and explore the cultural activities in France associated with the different times of year. Basic phonetics and pre-reading exercises involving letters will be introduced. Montessori manipulations will be used to develop dexterity and concepts can be math or language based.

Les Frimousses 5 days M-T-W-Th-F From 8:30 - 11:30am

This program is the equivalent of the pre-K curriculum of an academic private school. Students function in French, can make complete sentences and their basic vocabulary is actually quite impressive. Writing, pre-reading, and math concepts will be an integral part of the yearly program along with cultural units, holiday celebrations, and more.



The program consists of 36 weeks of instruction.
Tuition for the year: $10,800
Registration/Lab fee: $125.00 + deposit $1,100
Remaining balance: $9,700 payable in full by August.
Monthly payments are available. The finance charge for this payment plan is of 6.5%. The amount of $1,150 will be due the first of each month.

Afternoon Programs

Les Abeilles 4 days M-T-W-Th From 2:00pm to 3:00pm

These busy bees are in kindergarten. We refine all concepts and basic language units (weather, calendar, food). We introduce new grammatical concepts such as masculine and feminine, singular and plural, agreement of adjectives (petit or petite), and basic conjugations. Graduating from the morning immersion programs at the end of the school year, les abeilles will join the Afternoon Immersion Programs four days a week after school.

The program consists of 36 weeks of instruction.

PM Immersion I & II 4 days M-T-W-Th 3:30 to 4:15

PM Immersion III 4 days M-T-W-Th 3:30 to 4:15

PM Immersion IV 4 days M-T-W-Th 2:45 to 3:30

PM Immersion V 4 days M-T-W-Th 4:15 to 5:00

All students in these classes have a good control of the French language. They are in first grade and up and are becoming literate in French. They are taught to read in French, travel (virtually bien sûr) through the regions of France and French-speaking nations. They start reading simple versions of French classics: Saint-Exupéry, Victor Hugo, Desnos and many more. They also study French grammar more formally using Montessori grammar symbols and learn conjugations and verb tenses. Our goal is for students to enter high school in French II or III and prepare for the French AP exam.

These programs consists of 36 weeks of instruction.
Tuition for the year: $2,700
Registration/Lab fee: $125.00* + deposit $270.00
Remaining balance: $2,430 payable in full by August 30th 2006.
Monthly payments are available (9 payments). The finance charge for this payment plan is of 6.5%. The amount of $290 will be due the first of each month.

Pre-K, Fles* and Secondary School Programs

Les Papillons 2 days M/W From 1:00 - 2:00pm

The butterflies come 2 days a week for one hour. For these pre-schoolers this is a great first exposure to the French language and culture. No experience required.

Fles I - M/W 3:30 - 4:30

Fles II - M/W 4:30 - 5:30

Advanced Fles - This class will meet on T/Th from 4:00 - 5:00pm.

These programs begin on September 17th. Classes are for one hour, twice a week. There is no homework. There is a $125 registration/ lab fee.

These afternoon programs are billed on an annual or a 3 payment plan (trimester) bases. There is no Tuition deposit for these classes, however you can reserve your class by paying your registration fees in advance. All class fees are based on a minimum of 8 students.

During the course of the year, should your plans change, we will need 30 days advanced notice. This program is entirely supported by tuitions. We do not solicit, or ask you to donate time or goods, therefore, we ask you to take this engagement seriously and honor your commitment.

As you know, we always do as much as possible to offer you and your children the very best in second language learning. Together we will continue to make this program a life long experience for the children.
