FOR FUN
The class is for all immersion students and older Fles students going into 3rd/4th/5th grades. Some 2nd graders from Melle Stéphanie’s class could possibly join as well. All young elementary students from l’École Bilingue in Berkeley are more than welcome to join in the fun. It’s a long summer and usually after a few weeks kids begin to miss the routine and their friends. And three months without hearing or using a second language can be a real set-back, so French For Fun is proposing a drama/reading camp full of language (vocabulary, grammar) and art (props, costumes). Bring a lunch, socialize in French with your friends, and be prepared to act! We will write our own version of “Le Petit Prince,” starting in the Sahara desert making green tea and couscous, and ending up…who knows where, but certainly enlightened and entertained by Saint-Exupéry’s message. You may sign up for a week at a time. We need a minimum of 8 students per week.
