Teacher Program
Through the FRENCHFORFUN Teacher Program, certified teachers
from foreign countries can be sponsored to serve as faculty members
teaching French at FRENCHFORFUN in the San Francisco California
Bay Area, the United States. Generally, candidates selected by FRENCHFORFUN
are certified at the primary or secondary level.
Requirements
Candidates for the FRENCHFORFUN Teacher Program must meet
the following requirements:
 Possess
teaching certification (or equivalent) from the home country
Have at
least three years documented teaching experience
Be eligible
for state certification. It is FRENCHFORFUN's responsibility
to ensure that the Teacher completes the required certification
procedures.
Responsibilities of FRENCHFORFUN Teachers
Prior to arrival in the United States:
Submit
all required documents to FRENCHFORFUN.
Complete
the visa application process.
Enroll
in a health and accident insurance coverage that meets the requirements
of the US Government as described in the Health Insurance Memo
of Understanding.
Purchase
a round-trip airline ticket from the home country to the destination
in the United States.
Purchase
travelers checks (in US dollars) for expenses in the US prior
to receiving first paycheck
Maintain
correspondence with FRENCHFORFUN regarding arrival to the
US
