Programs for Infants, Toddlers and their Parents
Research continues to demonstrate that when children are exposed to language in the early stage of development, they not only acquire vocabulary but also an appreciation for learning which lasts a lifetime. French For Fun specializes in working with the very young when they seem to possess an insatiable hunger for words and a remarkable ability to absorb them. We believe that our young students can be introduced to French as a second language in the same natural approach that they are learning English; with their family in an immersed environment. We create a beautiful and very organized environment where the child feels safe and comfortable. A fun playgroup lead by language education experts and native speakers will offer a very special opportunity for the parent and child to learn together.
What do we do? How does it work?
Twice a week for 30 minutes, we welcome families and their young children. We sing, we dance, we tell stories, we play, we hug and smile. We learn to listen, share and follow directions. These groups are lead by native speakers and are the child's introduction to the immersion experience. These playgroups are conducted primarily in FRENCH!
Do You have to know French?
NO! Typically, some parents have learned either French or Spanish in school, some remember very little yet some parents are very fluent. All families engage in the activities and participation is encouraged. Remember, IT IS A PLAYGROUP, not a language class!
What's next?
We offer several immersion programs for tots to move into. The first is our Les Poussins where separation anxiety is conquered and classroom behavior and manners are introduced, all in French of course.

It is best to start in September when new groups are formed, however new families are always welcome provided there is still space available in the playgroup.
