Art Workshop - For Morning & Afternoon Immersion Programs

French For Fun offered an Art workshop for morning and afternoon immersion programs with renowned artist Tuy Nga.

Tuy Nga is a Vietnamese-born physician (Association Francaise contre les Myopathies, the French Muscular Dystrophy Association www.afm-france.org/afm-english_version/) and a self-taught artist. She lives near Paris with her French husband and their two sons. Since 2002, she has been participating in many juried exhibitions (France, Germany, USA).

Her drawings are made in one stroke, one continuous line, traced without lifting the pen off - one single stroke where the beginning meets the end, where alpha meets omega. The space created is then filled up with lines, loops, circles. Once achieved, depending on how the piece is handled, different impressions stimulate the imagination of the beholder.

She uses art as a means to display the non-manifested in the manifested, in the search for spiritual unity that permeates everything in life...

It was a truly inspiring experience for our students!

Semaine du Goût

Since 1992, French children each fall cook, visit with local chefs and taste not only regional specialties but also ethnic foods. This year at French For Fun we made the following dishes: le soufflé au fromage, du canard, de la mousse au chocolat, du pain perdu, une tarte aux pommes, une souris en poire, de la vinaigrette et des sandwichs crudités pendules.
